Dr. Mohanty is a Professor and holds Premier’s Research Chair in Biomaterials and Transportation, and is the Director of the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC) at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. His research interests are biobased materials including natural fibre composites, bioplastics, green composites, nano-blends and green nanocomposites. Dr.Mohanty published more than 350 publications including 13 US patents, edited 2 books, 151 journal paper, 3 textbooks, 7 book chapters and several conference presentations.
Dr. Mohanty serves as an Editorial Board Member of many journals; Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Biobased Materials and Bioenergy. Dr. Mohanty is the PI of the ORF-RE project entitled “Improved Utilization of Co-products from Second Generation Biofuel Industries for the Production of New Industrial Bioproducts”
