Dr. Manjusri Misra

Dr. Misra is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering and the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph, Canada. Her research is primarily focused on novel biobased composites/nanocomposite materials for the sustainable bioeconomy and application of nanotechnology in creating high performance bionanocomposites. She has over 200 peer reviewed publications, 8 US patents and 10 patents pending. She is the editor of the book “Natural Fibers, Biopolymers and Biocomposites,” Taylor & Francis Group, Boca Raton, FL (2005).

Dr. Misra is Associate Editors of the journal “Advanced Science Letters” and also editorial board member of: “Journal of Biobased Materials and Bioenergy”. She has collaborated Ford Motor Company, Armstrong World Industry, Eastman Chemical Company, DuPont in the area of new materials synthesis, processing, characterization and applications. Dr. Misra is a Co-PI of the ORF-RE project entitled “Improved Utilization of Co-products from Second Generation Biofuel Industries for the Production of New Industrial Bioproducts”
