Dr. Altenhof is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical, Automotive, and Materials Engineering, University of Windsor. His research focused on materials deformation, structural impact/crashworthiness, and occupant safety. Dr. Altenhof has generated 2 patents and more than 60 journal and conference publications. He is acting Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Crashworthiness and editorial board member of the International Journal of Impact Engineering.
Currently, Dr. Altenhof is being funded by the ORF-RE program under the project titled Advanced Polymer Composite Materials and Technologies (lead institution: Western Ontario University).
