Dr. Kuboki is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. He has worked on the improvement of the mechanical properties and reduction of density for composite materials using functionalized elastomers, nanofillers/fibres, and microcellular/nanocellular foaming technology.
Dr. Kuboki has published 33 journal papers, 40 conference papers, and 1 book chapter (in press). He was awarded the G. H. Duggan Medal from the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME), the Alberta Ingenuity Industrial Associateship, and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellowship for Young Scientists.
